With the continuous erosion of African culture and an increase in western influence, the morality of people seem to be depreciating every day and things like caressing each other's body, kissing and sex which were seen as taboos to do publicly in our societies in the past are done almost openly. This however brings alot of psychological effects especially when an individual is caught in the act by a close relative.
In a little known Kiguma village, Bungoma county in the former Western province, a twenty five years old girl who have been identified as Shirleen Nafula is unable to face her biological mother on the face because of the shame she is experiencing.
The came after the religious woman visited Nafula's house at the evening unexpectedly at Bungoma town and found her with boyfriend naked on the seat enjoying the forbidden fruit. "Mpenzi wangu alivaa nguo na akatoka mbio nikaachwa hapo nimeaibika sana." She said. "I wished the world would crack and swallow me alive." She added.
Lessons to learn.
What is done in darkness one time it will come to light and therefore we should always do what is right.
