The National Transport and Safety Authority, NTSA, has put the figures of those that have died on the roads since January at a little over 1500 attributing the accidents to recklessness and non compliance to traffic regulations.

This morning, according to reliable reports from Thika Town TV, four people are feared dead on the Thika to Garissa Highway after three vehicles collided on the scene.

The cause of the crash is yet undetermined but police have responded and they are now handling the situation in the area.

The accident has left six more people with serious injuries but they have been rushed to the hospitals for treatment.

It's alleged by an eye witness that the Toyota Probox collided with the saloon car before one of them then went ahead and collided with a truck on the road.

The accident has caused a bit of a snarlup on the busy Thika to Garissa Highway this morning after the collision that has left four people dead.

Motorists have been urged to be extra careful to avoid these accidents that have claimed many lives on the highway in the past few months.

Patience has also been called upon by the NTSA for many motorists who are plying this route.
