Things are back to normal after the government assured Laikipia West, Ol moran residents of total security.

Over the past days, learning and other income-generating activities were paralyzed over insecurity issues.

Bandits armed with sophisticated weapons were attacking residents, killing and destroying their properties.

Running battles between police officers and the bandits were also witnessed as they exchanged gun fires.

Learning has now resumed after the government promised to flush out the bandits. Police officers have been deployed in different areas to ensure that there is total tranquillity.

Illegal and temporary structures believed to be used by bandits before launching attacks have been brought down according to the latest reports.

This was after Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi visited the region some days ago and promised the residents that peace will be restored.

In the photo which has since gone viral, highly trained officers were captured escorting the students on their way back home.
