Schools were shut down after the bandits had taken over the region.
Learning has now resumed after the government promised to flush out the bandits. Police officers have been deployed in different areas to ensure that there is total tranquillity.
Illegal and temporary structures believed to be used by bandits before launching attacks have been brought down according to the latest reports.
This was after Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi visited the region some days ago and promised the residents that peace will be restored.
