On the news that are hitting Wednesday's headlines is that a female police officer is currently hospitalised in a critical condition after a probox driver rammed into her and injured her seriously in Kirinyaga County.

Recently, there has been cases of fatal road accidents happening across the country. These accidents are either caused by drunk driving or overspeeding, thus losing control and causing a fatal crash that cost the lives of the victims.
In reference to Citizen TV Kenya, there has been a deadly accident in Kagio Trading Centre in Kirinyaga County, when a reckless Probox vehicle knocked down a female police officer. The driver who was racing towards Kagio from Sagana area, lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, hitting a police officer who was guarding a local bank.
It was when this happened, that the driver quickly fled from the scene of the accident leaving behind the wreckage of the vehicle. The female officer who was fractured on both legs was rushed to Tenri Hospital in Embu where she is receiving medical attention.
Mwea-West sub-county Police Commander Wilson Koskei has since ordered the vehicle to be towed in Sagana police station as a manhunt of the suspect has been launched.
