Even as the rainy seasons edges closes its doors, the Kenya Meteorological Department still continues to warn the people staying over the Lake Victoria basin and those that reside over the Coastal regions to brace for another one week of light to moderate rainfall. This is valid till 16th of May, 2022.
Similarly, the Department states that light to moderate rainfall is expected over some parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley which includes the county of Nairobi at large. Also, those residents over the Highlands to West of the Rift Valley, Central and South of Rift Valley shall receive similar amount of rainfall within the duration of seven days.
At the moment, several farmers from all corners of the country are expected to be welcoming some periods of dryness to facilitate harvesting. This explains why the Department's forecast shows that the rest parts of the country shall remain dry in the next coming week.
