Police officers are currently looking for the whereabouts of the family members of a child who was lost and found on April 9, 2021 at approximately 5.00 PM while roaming around the streets trying to trace the whereabouts of her parents.
The girl was lost and currently at Shauri Moyo police station in Nairobi. This happened after a good Samaritan rescued the young girl from getting further.
"I met the girl walking alone in the streets. Judging by the way she was looking at peoples' faces, I got suspicious", she said, adding that she couldn't recall her parents name, neither that of her school.
"The girl can not tell the identity of her home or school. This is true in reference to what was reported earlier by the woman who brought her to us", one police officer said.
The girl is called Damaris Chepkiyor and is aged 7 years old.
