'Prostitutes' in Homa Bay have decided to speak out and reveal the sufferings they go through on daily basis while looking for money. As reported by Daily Nation, there was an organization which worked in partnership with the government and it was located in Homa Bay. This organization basically used to provide antiretroviral drugs to the ladies and majority who were positive were able to continue with their daily activities without fear since everything had been sorted. The company also used to provide condoms and contraceptive pills to the ladies on daily basis. Apparently, the period which this company was supposed to stay in Kenya has finished and they're supposed to go back to their country. This has become a major challenge to the ladies and many are suffering claiming they don't get drugs and protection like before. Majority have been affected and their health status does not allow them to go and attend to their duties. Majority don't go for work with fear of being infected with unknown diseases since at the moment there are no protection. Report from the company reveal that they have no way of helping these ladies not unless the government allows them to renew their contract.
