Six police officers accused of killing two Embu brothers freed on Sh300,000 cash bail each, court orders them not to go to KianjokomaThe court granted them a Ksh 3 Million bond with a 300,000 Cash bail alternative.
The six police officers identified are Benson Mputhia, Consolata Kariuki, Nicholas Cheruyoit, Martin Wanyama, Lilian Chemuna, and James Mwaniki.
Brothers Benson Ndwiga and Emmanuel Ndwiga allegedly lost their lives while under custody of the police officers after they were arrested for flouting the 10pm-4am curfew.
Justice Daniel Ogembo has further instructed the police not to sent them from back to Kianjokoma, where they commited their offence or Embu county.
Meanwhile, one of the officers, Benson Mputhia who comes from Meru, has been asked to use Embu route when going to his home in Meru.
The deaths of the two brothers Emmanuel (19) and Benson Ndwiga (22) while in police cell led to the destruction of property following the unrest by the locals who were protesting their deaths.
