It is a somber mood in Kibwezi, Ukambani after a vehicle lost control claiming two lives on the spot. According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle was over speeding when it rolled several times. Several people who were injured were rushed to the hospital by good samaritans.
These were some of the reactions from netizens;
"There is this habit of a show of mighty on our road if one's car is more superior and maybe there is a small car in front one tends to overtake with a lot of pride without due regard lets own our roads with respect. without intimidating each other," Ngugi
"So unfortunate lives are lost in this. The driver lost control of the vehicle, not the other way around." Enos Okoth
"Speed does not kill but caresses speeding recklessly kills," Chris
"We have to move away from this vague and unproven claim that speed kills. What speed was this car doing before it crashed? We need to conduct exhaustive studies and put proper statistical models into place instead of coming up with baseless claims that contribute towards harassment of responsible drivers., here are many slow drivers who drive recklessly," Lawrence
There has been a great increase in the rate at which road accidents occur, especially during this rainy season. Let's all drive carefully and be safe.
Let's type RIP for those who perished in this accident.
