Murder

Emotions High As Police Constable Ogweno Is Finally Laid To Rest (Photos)

A sombre mood has engulfed a village in Kendubay in Homabay County as burial of police constable Peter Ogweno is underway. The police officer is alleged to have been killed by late constable Caroline Kangongo after they had a heated disagreement. Before his murder, Ogweno was attached to Nakuru police station where he together with Caroline Kangongo were working as colleagues. The officer was found inside his car with blood oozing from the head a possible likelihood that he had been shot in the head.

Just yesterday, the families of Caroline and that of Ogweno met in Nakuru for a possible forgiveness session from Kangongo's family. Friends and relatives continued to eulogize Ogweno as a steadfast man who loved all without any discrimination. His father eulogized him as a son who had dreams for the future and to the siblings.

The case of the murder and Caroline alleged suicide are still with the Director of Criminal Investigation DCI and so far none has been arrested. May the soul of corporal Ogweno rest in peace.
