A distraught couple in Kayole is looking for answers after their 8 year old daughter was found dead under unclear circumstances.
After reporting to the authorities, officers were able to trace the girl to Mama Lucy hospital on Thursday 20th, however after enquiring about her, they were told she was brought at the facility already dead by a middle aged couple.
The officers thereafter informed the girl’s mother, Linda Achieng, about the discovery.
Achieng said she unsuccessfully tried getting information from Mama Lucy Hospital on circumstances surrounding her daughter’s death.
The father to Jennifer, Ayub Otieno visited her daughter's school on Friday 21st, where he was allegedly told that his daughter collapsed at the institution on Wednesday evening, and rushed to nearby Mama Lucy hospital.
Mr Owino said despite the School saying they took his daughter to the hospital while alive, Mama Lucy hospital maintains Jenifer was brought at the medical facility while dead.
The family now wants police officers to investigate the matter and find out where the negligence happened and those culpable brought to book.
