Kenya Meteorological Department Warns Of 'Winter' Ahead, Reveals Diseases To Breakout

Servel parts of the country are likely to experience winter seasons as heavy rainfall is expected in the central and southern parts and coastal and northeast areas were below normal.

Winter is coming, Kenya Meteorological Department warns of extreme cold conditions with some parts of the country registering below 8°C. Kenyans are being advised to take necessary measures to avert eruption of diseases like asthma, Flu, Pneumonia and common cold.

The latest forecast comes as a blow to farmers who planted during the rainy season a few days before the cessation as the seeds will not germinate well which makes farmers lose a lot as the price of fertilizer and seeds has gone up.

This means that farmers may have to replant or be forced to switch maize to other crops, a move that will hurt food production in the country. Please counties which are likely to be affected and remember to keep safe.
