For the better part of last week, the country has been in mourning following the unfortunate death of an 8-year old Kitengela girl identified as Shantel Nzembi who died in the hands of suspected criminals.
Several suspects have already been nabbed by police as investigations into the unfortunate incident that has drawn countrywide attention continue to be done.
However, it is round one victory for law enforcement officers as a competent Kajiado Court has granted the police their request to continue holding Mutindi Nthuku, the main suspect in the death of baby Shantel who was arrested recently at Kitengela, barely 300 metres from where Baby Shantel's body was found.
"KAJIADO COURT detains Mutindi Nthuku, key suspect in 8-year-old Shantel Nzembi's murder for seven days. Detectives to continue investigations," a report by TV47 reads.
This means that the suspect will now continue cooling her hot heels in prison as she awaits to make another appearence in Court to answer and pay back for her suspected crimes.
