The increasing bad blood between members of the public and the police service has become a major cause for concern with many Kenyans raising their displeasure at how police officers have turned against the same citizens they are supposed to protect.
Very many families have lost their lives at the hands of inhuman officers who think they are above the law. Earlier today residents of Bungoma County were heard lamenting after one man was killed by police officers who were on an operation to arrest illicit brew vendors.
One person was shot dead, while another was badly injured by the police during an illicit brew operation. The incident happened at Wabukhonyi village in Namarambi, Bungoma County.
The issue of illicit brew has been a striking concern but residents are now calling on the police to avoid using excessive force when dealing with the perpetrators.
