Police Officer, 25, Shot Dead Her Senior After Altercation While Chasing A Run Away Car In Malava

A 25-year-old police officer shot dead her senior after altercation while chasing a run away car in Malava town in Kakamega County, Western Kenya.

The suspect identified as, Sharon Nyongesa, 25, attached to local police station in Malava town, is accused of Killing her senior officer also called, Martin Murimi, 56, after altercation in a car.

Kakamega County police commander Joseph Wafula who confirmed the incident said the two were chasing a runway thug inside a car when they differed.

According to Joseph, Murimi is reported to have asked the female officer for love affair before the duo differed.

Sharon is said to have turned wild when Murimi insist to love her before Sharon loaded her pistol with three rounds of ammunition and shot the officer in his stomach two times.

After firing the two shots, Murimi sprawled on the police vehicle severally and succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to Kakamega town hospital for emergency treatment.

Sharon has since been arrested and locked up at Kakamega town police station pending police investigations on the matter.

His body was moved to Kakamega refferal hospital morgue pending postmortem.
