The drama unfolded at Makutano police station in Embu county after two men covered by a swarm of bees walked into the police station and reported themselves as thieves.
According to the sources, the two suspects returned the cow they had reportedly stolen and could not stop screaming in pain as the bees were stinging them.
The thieves who were since identified as Philip Wekesa 32 years old and Mwamba Ili 25 yrs old asked for the help of the police to assist them.
The police immediately conducted Lilian Waithera who on November 3 come to report her stolen cow.
After she arrived at the station, she positively identified the cow as hers.
She even confessed to having sought for a witch doctor's service to help find her cow.
In the bizarre incident, the witch doctor was reportedly asked to reverse the spell he had cast on the thieves and commanded the insects into the bag he was carrying.
He then walked out of the police station living the residents aghast.
The matter is currently being investigated as the residents are warned not to use witchcraft to solve their menace.
