Emerging news indicated that a Kenyan man who is a shoemaker and was born blind is set to become the first Kenyan to be a pilot in a situation like his. This is according to reports published by Kenya news and posted on their social media platforms Daniel Otieno Odongo was born on August 24th, 1991 in Mumias Kakamega County. His parents discovered at the age of 3 years that he was blind. But today he will beat his lifetime problem and realize the dream of becoming a pilot.
The most impressive part of it is that he uses the little amount he gets from working as a cobbler to ease all his engagements. His luckiest part happened when he boarded a plane to Mombasa from Nairobi and after everyone alighted he remained on the plane. The attendant came and asked him why he was still on the plane and that is when he requested the attendant to meet the pilot. The pilot then recommended him to the Kenya Civil Aviation School and Kenya civil aviation authority school wrote a letter requesting them to check his ability on the ground and on the air. If a positive report comes then is set to become the first blind Pilot.
