The relationship between the public and the police is slowly fading away as time goes by. The police have been behind some major criminal activities in the country as sometimes shown by the media stations. Equally some men in uniform have no respect for the public and sometimes misinterpret the command given by their bosses to handle the public professionally. These events have always left the public questioning the kind of training our service men always undergo when in Kiganjo police training college.

In a rare event in Baringo county, a police officer today found himself in grave problem after he killed a bar owner within the town. It all started when the officer visited the pub to quench his thirst for alcohol where he was served his favourite drink 'keg.' The irate officer continued to drink and hit a bill of 450 Kenya shillings when the bar owner demanded to be paid before he could continue serving the man in uniform.
Angered that he could not be served more alcohol, the officer charged on the bar owner with blows and kicks. The physical fight turned tragic when the officer went for a knife that was on the counter and stabbed the bar man severally on the chest killing him on the spot. Charged citizens then pounced on him as they bayed to teach him a lesson for killing their friend.
The area chief had to call the authorities nearby to come save his life from the angry mob. The police arrived just on time and arrested him as the body of the deceased was taken to Baringo morgue for further investigations.
