Jackton Odhiambo, the prime suspect who executed the murder of Gay activist Edwin Chiloba has admitted to ending the life of model over allegations that he cheated on him.
Mr Odhiambo told the police that he was in love with the activist but he betrayed him and he decided to end the affair and executed his killing.
According to Langas OCPD John Odhiambo, Jackton executed the murder with the assistance of his two friends who are still at large.
Jackton is said to have been in a relationship with Chiloba, his close friend, but “felt betrayed” after ending the relationship, Kapsaret sub-county police commander John Odhiambo told Citizen TV.
"The accused added said that he killed Chiloba as revenge for betraying him in their relationship." The OCPD said.
Odhiambo who had been living with slain Chiloba for a period of one year in Eldoret was nabbed on Friday as the prime suspect in the Killing.
The duo stayed together as husband and wife.
Police are yet to place him in court now that he is the key suspect behind the brutal death.
Until now, he is being detained at Langas police station in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
Detectives are also tracing two suspects who Odhiambo conspired with two execute the murder of the Eldoret-based Fashionsita.
“It is a matter of time before we arrest the two suspects who were spotted by neighbours loading a metallic box into a vehicle that was later discovered to contain the body of the late Chiloba,” the police confirmed.
