Kenyans online have been shocked on hearing details of the incident that took place in a police station.
Armed gunmen raided a Suiyan police station, Samburu, on where by they stole firearms while the police officer present was held at gunpoint. The fire arms stolen were; AK47 rifle, three G3 rifles, nine G3 magazines containing a total of 200 rounds of ammunition.
Reports say that the bandits knocked down the police station door making way into the lightly guarded station.
The bandits found the police present, two bandits took him down and obtained keys to a steelbox that had the rifles.
The police said, "Two of the bandits wrestled him to the ground and asked for keys to the steel box which the officer said he did not have. The bandits then entered his house where the steel box was kept and broke the padlocks.”
After looting the police station the bandits disappeared into surrounding thickets whilst shooting in the air.
