A day after celebrating her birthday, Ababu Namwamba's ex-wife reportedly committed suicide at their home in Nairobi.
A reliable news outlet has reported that Prisca Mwaro, the person whose identity has been confirmed as the deceased, passed away under mysterious circumstances the day after celebrating her birthday.
While the family has said that the deceased's cause of death has yet to be determined, police have already begun investigating the situation.
Unnamed friends who spoke to the media about the matter claimed that the deceased admitted to them that she had been going through a rough patch for several years. One close acquaintance who came up about the incident suggested that the deceased may have given up, based on her own observations. She taught her son that life is short and to savor every moment of it before she passed away.
Ababu Namwamba, the cabinet secretary in charge of sports, has not yet addressed the situation. Our deepest sympathies go out to the Namwamba family. Prayers for you and your family as you face this terrible time.
