ODM party leader Raila Odinga has spoken about BBI document concerning the one man one vote one Kenyan shillings narrative. He says that he compared Kiambu and Mandera. But that doesn't mean that he deprived Mandera county. ODM party leader Raila Odinga claims that he wishes all the counties to get equal rights.
"The issue of one man one vote one Kenyan shillings. I did a comparison with kiambu and Mandera. I was very clear I said that Mandera with a population of 800,000 should be getting 12 billion shillings. While kiambu with 2.5 million people gets should be getting 9 million. I said that not fair to people of Kiambu. And I also said that, that doesn't mean we deprive Mandera it's rights", Says Raila Odinga.
Raila Odinga claims that he will discuss with relative authorities. Taxes to be reasonable and be collected in humane manner.
"What this people were saying is the will be paying taxes. But they want taxes to be reasonable. And be collected in humane manner. And I will address it with relative authorities. Secondly is about the infrastructure, first I'm happy with the good work done by the NMS lead by General Mbadi. But let's say there's more can be done. There's a room for improvement. Not only in eastliegh but in other parts of the city as well."says Raila Odinga.
