A 50-year-old businessman was discovered dead on January 9, 2023, in his Karen house in Nairobi. Police have started investigations.
According to a police report obtained by K24 Digital, Francis Kiambi Kiriro was discovered dead in his bedroom, with some foam next to his bed.
Mary Waigwe Muthoni, the late man's wife, revealed to the police that the couple had spent the night before at Karen's Big Smoke Bar and Restaurant, where they had a meeting and several drinks with a family advocate and a relative.
Muthoni admitted that they had some domestic issues following her refusal to serve as her husband's guarantor in order to obtain the Ksh2 billion loan he needed to start a business.
At around 9:00 p.m., the couple went back home, where they stayed in separate bedrooms for the night.
A doctor from Karen Hospital was contacted by the family, and he sadly confirmed the death at roughly 9:02 am.
The body had no noticeable injuries, according to the cops who responded to the scene. The deceased's body was taken to Lee Funeral Home for preservation and an autopsy to determine the reason of his demise.
The businessman had previously run unsuccessfully for the Tharaka Nithi County senatorial seat.
