Expect Very Heavy Rainfall From Today if you Live In The Mentioned Counties

Kenya Meteorological Department warns Kenyans against heavy downpour that is expected over several parts of the country. In a statement released by KMD through their official website, most parts of the country are expected to be generally sunny and dry during morning hours. While afternoon showers and thunderstorms are also expected over several parts of the country. Therefore all Kenyans living in the mentioned counties have been urged to prepare thoroughly.

According to the weatherman, there is a possibility of a few places in the Highlands West of Rift Valley, the South Rift Valley, the South Eastern Lowlands and the South Coast receiving occasional isolated storms and thunderstorms today.

Moreover, the North Eastern, North Western, most of the South Eastern Lowlands and Nairobi are expected to remain sunny and dry during the morning and afternoon hours. The nights here are expected to receive rains.

Strong southeasterly winds with speed exceeding 25 knots are likely over several parts of Northeast Kenya. Strong southeasterly to northerly winds with speed exceeding 25 are also expected over several parts of South Eastern Kenya.

The Highlands West of Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift Valley including Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho, Nakuru, Bometi, Kisumu, Migori, Homabay, Busia, Kakamega and Narok.

Morning hours and afternoon hours are likely to be generally sunny and dry. However there is a likelihood of heavy rains on Saturday. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over several parts of the region. Night hours are expected to be generally full of cloudy conditions.
