2NK Sacco driver could finally smile despite losing his job after reporting law-breaking passengers.
John Muthoni was reportedly fired yesterday after attempting to take14 students who were smoking to Sagana Police Station.
Directorate of Criminal Investigations had issued a report that the 14 students who had escaped were being tracked down.
However, instead of being rewarded for the heroic act, the driver was punished.
Later today, DCI have asked him to contact their Director or present himself to DCI headquarters.
It is said that sleuths want him to help in more investigations and have an unnamed reward.
DCI maintains that smoking of bhang by schoold going children is a crime punishable according to the law.
They are vulnerable to use of drugs during the short holidays hence affecting their school performance.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that through the help of the principal a good progress has been made in following them.
