Man Suspected Of Killing Minors Escapes Custody In Unclear Circumstances

Masten Milimu Wanjala, 20, a man suspected of killing two minors escaped under unclear circumstances, police reported.

Reports say Wanjala escaped from Jogoo Road Police Station under unclear circumstances. He was scheduled to appear in court today.

He allegedly escaped between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, as authorities could not find him while they were making a roll call.

The suspected serial killer made headlines earlier in July after confessing to the kidnappings and cold-blooded execution of two minors in Kabete.

Wanjala was arrested by DCI detectives and apprehended in Shauri Moyo on suspicion of killing two children aged 13 and 12 on various dates.

The children were 13-year-old Charles Opindo Bala, reported missing on June 30, 2021, and 12-year-old Mutuku Musyoka, reported missing on July 8. They were found murdered in a thicket in Kabete, Kiambu County.

He is linked to up to 14 murders in different parts of the country and has yet to plead a case.
