Dramatic scenes were witnessed in Kirinyaga county, Kagio market on Tuesday 6th, 2022 evening after three women allegedly drugged a catholic nun and stole 17,000 shillings from her.
According to the sources, the nun visited the market in order to buy some fruits when she was confronted by the three women.
Reportedly, the three women allegedly sprayed an unknown substance on her making her become unconscious.
The suspects later were seen bundling the nun in their vehicle and immediately sped off the market.
However, upon noticing that things were not okay, BodaBoda riders chased after the women and successfully managed to catch up with them.
The BodaBoda riders called the police who later took the women for questioning at Kagio police station.
The 17,000 shillings were recovered as the nun was taken to hospital and also recorded her statement even though she was compiled with dizziness.
The Kirinyaga police have asked locals who have fallen victim to the three women to come out and record their statements.
Furthermore, locals have been advised to avoid talking to suspicious strangers.
