Speaking to the press on Thursday morning in Eldoret, John Njuguna Wanjiku as apiring MP for Kiambaa constituency, claimed he was kidnapped by police officers in Nairobi on Wednesday evening before he was later transported and dumped in Sengalo forest in Uasin Gishu County.
The politicians revealed that he was coming from work before police officers stopped him, throw him into a waiting vehicle where he was handcuffed and blindfolded.
"At around 4pm on Wednesday when I was coming from my work place, my car was stopped by police officers. I was informed that I had a mistake and when we got to their car, I was handcuffed, blindfolded and told that their boss needs to have a word with me," stated Njuguna.
Through his slight transparent cap that was used to blindfold him, Njuguna said he was taken to four different police stations before the police boss was brought over to him for questioning.
"I was taken around to four different police stations and at around nine in the evening, their police boss came over to the car, place a gun in my mouth and started questioning me," he added.
According to Njuguna, the drama was all as a result of a formal invitation Kiambu youths had invited DP Ruto to Kiambaa on 12th of this month to go and do an Harambee for them as well as officially launching their Sacco.
"Their boss told me that they don't want us to invite and stand by the Deputy President William Ruto's side. Waliniambia mimi kama kiongozi wao kwamba nitajua sijui." added Njuguna who had no shirt by the time.
He said they took him from Kiambu at around 11pm in the evening and dumped him at the forest which is near Burnt Forest in Uasin Gishu county.
"They stripped me off my clothes, just leaving me with only my shoes, tied me to a tree and said they don't want to hear me talking of DP William Ruto in Kiambaa or Kiambu in general." he added.
Luckly, the poor man untied himself up walk around and was lucky to find some mechanics repairing a broken down car at Ainabkoi Junction along Eldoret Nakuru highway.
The mechanics offered him some clothes before he was assisted to get to Eldoret Central Police station where he recorded the statement.
