“My Life is in Danger,” Wife to Serial Killer Speaks, Sacked From Her Job For Associating With Him

Evans Juma Wanjala confessed last month to killing five children after defiling them at Moi’s Bridge township in Uasin Gishu County. Her wife who cohabitted with him for close to three years has now thrown him under the bus.

Speaking to Nation Africa, Caroline Mwongeli, 36, revealed how her relationship with the killer has made her a laughing stock in the village and further led to lose of her job as a casual worker at a local library. She further says that her life is in danger, humiliated and distressed to a breaking point.

Mwende said she was reluctant to move in with Wanjala since she had three children in her earlier relationship. Surprisingly, he said he had no problem in having a big family and vowed to take care of them.

When Wanjala was arrested for defiling a pupil in Kibwezi, Mwende mobilized family members and relatives to raise Ksh200,000 to secure his freedom. She further noted that she trusted Evans who denied the allegations.

Her involvement with him led to her being sacked from a library, a job which she says was able to pay for her needs and the children while Wanjala was in custody.

“We kicked Caroline out of the library when we learned that she was cohabiting with a suspected sex pest,” said Patrick Mutiso, the head of Kinyambu Library as quoted by the media house.
