Some organizations have been in a fore front of helping those affected vulnerable people in that slums. For example red cross earlier on issued mattresses and blankets for the victims.
Today another organization by the name Amani Kibera has helped Kibra floods victims by giving them some donations like, floor, beans, rice, mattresses, blankets and comforting those who lost their loved ones.
Kibra slums is the biggest slum in Kenya and have got a population of about two million people. Many people in that region are vulnerable and are living in poverty. Other slums that floods affected them Include Mathare, Mukuru Kwa njenga etc.
We are also advising people to stay away from rivers or any other water bodies because when the water level of those water bodies rose they cause a huge destructions of their properties due to flooding.
