Incidents of road accidents in the country have been on the rise in recent months with several cases reported across the country. Bad roads coupled with careless driving among motorists have been given as the main reason for the increased number of road accidents.
A Nasty Accident has now been reported involving an Ambulance that was carrying a patient who was being transferred to another hospital. According to initial reports, the Ambulance belongs to the Nanyuki Teaching and Referral accident.
The accident happened along the Nyeri-Nanyuki highway.
"An ambulance belonging to the Nanyuki Teaching & Referral Hospital has been involved in a road accident along the Nyeri - Nanyuki highway. Onboard were medical personnel and a patient who was being transferred to another facility for further treatment. The bad weather caused by the ongoing heavy rains has rendered the road slippery.
