Jackeline Wawira, a 19-year-old form-two dropout in Mwea West Sub-county in Kirinyanga County is said to have killed her 25-year-old boyfriend Eric Gitonga after Suspecting that he might be having a love affair with another girl.
According to Stephen Okal, a police Commander in Mwea West sub-county, the incident took place in Ciagini village, where the young lady who is said to be a form two drop outdid of the act where she was staying in her grandmother's home.
The boy who used to work as a petrol attendant before his death steamed up an argument with the lady, this later transformed into a serious fight, and that is when the young lady grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her lover to death.
The police Commander confirmed that they have already recovered the weapon used to kill the young man and the one responsible had also been arrested and held at Kiamaciri police station. However, investigations are still ongoing to reveal the real cause of the incident.
