How Bungoma residents managed to lynch the suspected killer Masten Wanjala

Suspected Killer Masten Wanjala, was lynched in his home village in Bungoma today after he escaped from police custody yesterday.

Wanjala escaped from police custody leaving police officers with no information how he did it. The self proclaimed killer had time to book a climax coaches at country bus and travelled 380km with fellow passengers to Bungoma.

After he travelled home, residents noticed his presence and ambushed him in his house and lynched him to death.

His killing in Bungoma qas confirmed by Bungoma Assistant County Commissioner Cornelius Nyaribai.

Three officers had been arraigned in court over the escape of the serial killer from custody but were freed on Sh100,000 bail each.

Speaking to Ntv on Thursday, following his son's escape from Jogoo Road police station; wanjalas father denied seeing his son and added that he doesn't want to see him again.

Kenyans commented on wanjalas killings;

"Masten Wanjala alikuwa ashashinda polisi. That Harambee Justice is welcome. Can't use our taxes to cram jails and feed child killers that even walk out of jail unnoticed. Good riddance to a menace" a user on twitter said.

"Yaani kuna watu kwa public transport hawaja notice master wanjala? 200k ya mike sonko imeenda ivo? The families of the victims will now have peace of mind."
