Report that has been confirmed and posted by Sikika Road Safety on Facebook page said that a standard two kid was knocked down by a speeding Courier a long Kitui Machakos road in the morning. Frank who is the resident and eye witness told Sikika that the pupil lost life on the spot. "Hello Sikika ROAD Safety my name is Frank and this is happening now.....It's very sad to announce the death of a std 2 kid who has been hit by a speeding cargo courier vehicle at Kitui machakos road," he said.
Official report and the cause of the accident is yet to be revealed by relevant authorities including police officers who at the moment are yet to arrive at the scene to determine the real cause.
Road users including motorists, cyclists and other members of public are encouraged to observe roads signs and reduce the speed while on roads. They should therefore need to follow all rules and regulations set up by government through the National Transport and Safety authority (NTSA). Failure to do this will lead to prosecution.
