
a woman has been arrested after she burnt her son's hand over food. Her son went to the neighbor's house and stole cooked food from the house. the 23-year-old woman living at Shauri-Yako in Homa -Bay town is said to have tied her son's hands together using pieces of strings(manila). she then proceeded to set the child's hands on fire.
The boy was initally playing with his three siblings when he sneaked into the neighbor's homestead and stole the food that was left there. According to the assistant chief of homabay, Salim Nyauke the boy was saved from her mother by neighbors who heard screams from the boy
the boy has since been rushed to the local hospital(Homa bay county Referral Hospital)where he is recuperating the serious burns on his fingers. The woman is expected to face charges of assault once the police finish their investigations.
