Residents of Migori have been left shock after a middle aged man was found dead at Total area along the Migori-Isebania road.
Confirming the incident is Suna East sub-county Police Commander Esau Ochorokodi who said that they suspect that the deceased committed suicide by consuming a poisonous chemical, adding that there was foam coming out of his mouth.
Mr. Ochorokodi said their preliminary investigation established that the deceased, who hails from Oruba estate, quarrelled with and assaulted his wife on Saturday night accusing her of infidelity, before his body was discovered the following morning.
He said they have since launched further probe into the matter to establish finer details of what transpired before his death.
The body of the deceased was moved to the Migori referral hospital mortuary pending autopsy.
Police in Migori have since launched investigation into the incident to find out what led to the death of the man.
