Scores Feared Dead After Western Bound Bus Involved in Multiple Car Crash Along Nakuru-Naivasha Road

Scores dead after a Western-bound bus has been involved in a multiple-car crash along the Nairobi-Naivasha Highway, Nairobi County.

Nairobi County Police commander confirmed the incident saying investigations are underway.

The police boss while speaking to the press on phone, said the other vehicles were two saloon cars and one Nissan matatu.

"We are yet to establish the number of causalities from that accident," he said.

"The bus that was on its way to Kakamega, the driver tried to avoid the two saloon cars that had involved in a minor accident," he cited.

He confirmed that they are still probing the possible cause that might have caused the accident.

"However, the exact number of casualties was yet to be established but projected to rise. Nonetheless, rescue operations were underway." He added.

Meanwhile, rescue operations are still underway.

Commander has appealed to drivers both on private and public vehicles to be keen on the road to curb accidents during this festive season.

Area residents and emergency service providers were at the scene, helping to save the survivors and remove dead bodies.
