Since the inauguration of the newly developed Nairobi Expressway, incidences of road carnages have continued to soar. The Nairobi Expressway was developed to ease traffic snarl up in the Kenyan capital.
Early this morning, a 33-seater bus overturned at the Expressway's entry point in Westlands. The matatu that was headed to Nairobi from the lower side is said to have lost control before hitting the guard rails and thereafter overturning, injuring scores on course.
Although no fatalities have been reported from the accident, several passengers were injured. The injured parties have since been rushed to hospitals in Westlands for immediate medical attention.
The state of the Nairobi Expressway has drawn attention from the public. A series of accidents have occurred along the Highway since it's commissioning. Recently, another Matatu lost control before hitting another along the same road, whilst injuring several passengers.
Motorists have been asked to remain vigilant while using the Nairobi Expressway to curb such accidents from happening.
