In recent times, there have been more deadly traffic accidents, prompting a multitude of people to call on the government to step in and take action to reduce the number of collisions.
Several individuals have recently died in traffic accidents, and many more have suffered severely horrific occurrences as a result of losing body parts, going blind, or suffering severe lasting disabilities.
The main causes of crashes on Kenyan roadways have been attributed to irresponsible drivers and pedestrians.
The most recent fatal accident happened today, May 19, 2023, at around 7 a.m., when a speeding police land cruiser hit a pedestrian at Kobil along North Airport Road, Embakasi. The accident caused heavy traffic congestion along the busy highway. one person is feared to have died during the morning accident.
Pedestrians have been warned to use the footbridges instead of risking their lives crossing dangerous, busy highways like North Airport Road.
