Kazi Mtaani Phase III Enrollment

The government through the Department for Housing and Urban Development has rolled out phase III of The National Hygiene Program Known as Kazi Mtaani which was launched today on Friday after the first and the second phase which was launched in the year 2020. The Kazi Mtaani Programme is an initiative designed to cushion the most vulnerable youth in the informal settlements from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Last Year Kazi Mtaani had hired jobless young people in an effort to make the environment safer during the Covid-19 pandemic and the government will now expand the program.

Kenyan youth are urged to apply for the upcoming phase 3 program on Kazi mtaani. The recruitment process of this phase of the Kazi Mtaani program is set to start today Friday, November 19, 2021. on his visit to Kericho, PS Charles Hinga announced that interested Kenyans should apply through the Kazi mtaani portal

This phase is said to be flavorsome as it will be implemented over 900 informal settlements in all 47 counties and it will go through to next year in June, as the key factor being polished up of the environment, service delivery, and providing income generation opportunities for the youth. Young people also were encouraged to form groups and register and apply for funds from government affirmative funds.

 The aim of the Kazi mtaani program is to create opportunities as well as make youth to be self-employed. This initiative was made to cushion the most vulnerable youth in the information settlement from the effect of the Corona Virus pandemic and it was first launched last year.

Requirement for the Application

  • You should have a valid national ID.
  • Be a Kenyan citizen of age between 18-35 years.
  • KCPE or KCSE certificate ( not a must but is an added advantage).
  • One must not be benefiting from any national government transfer program.
  • signed guarantee form providing details of phone number for payment.
