A class eight candidate in Embu who had just sat for his day one exam went missing only for his body to be found in a river.
The parents say that they had asked their son to help them by going to the river to fetch water and that was the last day he was seen.
His remains were found in Thiba River on Wednesday, November 30, after his disappearance on on Monday 28th After his parents sent him to the river. After a search only his shoes at the river banks with no trace of Kennedy Macharia (the boy's name?)
The police believe the boy might have drowned or maybe killed then his body dumped in the river. ''We suspect the boy may have drowned while swimming or killed and thrown into the river. We want to find out," said Mwea Sub-County police boss Emmanuel Kiplang'at.
The boys body is lying at Embu level five hospital mortuary awaiting postmoterm to determine the cause of his death.
