The National Hygiene Program famously referred to as , 'Kazi mtaani'was Launched in April 2020 by the Government of Kenya. As a stimulus program to caution those affected by Corona virus. Majority of those who registered for the program were Youths who depended on it to cater for their needs. The program was to come to an end on March 2021. However kenyan youths begged President Uhuru to extend the period of the initiative as it was benefitial to them. Through the Ps of Urban planning and housing, Ps Charles Hinga. The period was extended for an unknown period. Youths have been engaging in the program since and get payed after 5 working days.Nevertheless since April 2021 Workers have not received their payment and are planning for a go slow and peaceful demonstration. It's unfortunate that since 4th May,when the Ps gave an Apology for delayed payment the Government has not yet payed . No communication so far and youths are loosing their patience. Youths are urging the Government to pay their dues .
