Monday Is Not A Public Holiday, Government Addresses Rumours Of Monday Holiday

The government have noted the details circulating among Kenyans on Monday 24th October, 2022 being a public holiday.

The day is celebrated by Hindu's who are among the least religious groups in Kenya to mark the beginning of a new year using fireworks.

There are 12 major religious holidays in Kenya gazetted in accordance to Christianity and Islam which are the major religious groups in the country.

Through an address by the outgoing Interior CS Dr.Fred Matiang'i, the occasion is not gazetted as a public holiday thus Kenyans are expected to carry out their normal routine on that day.
