600 hundred families have been left without homes this morning after the government destroyed their homes in parklands,in a raided incident last night bulldozers brought down houses which were few kilometers from the road, according to authorities residents were given a notice few months earlier but they defied to move, houses which were being demolished today are said to have hindering the connection of Limuru road to Waiyaki way highway which had stalled, however despite being the notice it has been disclosed that each time they were warned they did not take the notice with seriousness.
Residents lamented that they had been told of government officials coming to visit them, they decried and accused the government of punishing them leaving them without homes, despite authorities saying they had warned locals of continuous snubbing of eviction notices, the government insisted that they had met with communities around and asked them to find alternatives because they were compensated heavily.
But after several trips to parklands without any positive results from locals they decided to take up action against them.
