A video which has gone viral on social media showing heavy police surrounding an apartment along Waiyaki Way has caused reactions. The security officers were seen surrounding Waiyaki Real Gardens building where so many foreigners were seen in the apartment. This comes after hundreds of Pakistanis arrived in Kenya with reports saying that they were on transit to Saudi Arabia.
It has however emerged that close to three hundred Pakistanis on transit to Saudi have been arrested by the police and are allegedly being deported out of the country.
For several weeks now, Kenyans on different social media platforms have been suspicious and speculative that there has been an influx of Pakistani nationals in the Kenya's capital and its suburbs.
However, over the weekend, a group of foreigners who comprised of men only trooped into Great Wall Apartments in Athi River. This raised concerns as the foreigners were seen alighting a bus while carrying their big travel bags. Kenyans raised many questions following the arrival of these foreigners.
More details cites that security officers together with the immigration officials have begun implementing orders from the Interior PS Karanja Kibicho to have the foreigners, who are believed to be from Pakistan, trooping into the country flushed out.
According to the security officers who raided Waiyaki Real Gardens along Waiyaki Way, they have cited that they found hundreds of foreigners. The officers said that they have gone through their travel documents and it was determined that the largest number had arrived in Kenya from Pakistan.
The officers said that they want to verify whether the foreigners have the correct travel documents and also determine how they arrived in Kenya.
The security officers have also started to map the places where the Pakistan nationals are residing. As this unfolds, it has emerged that over 800 Pakistanis are residing at Ongata Rongai in Kajiado County. This has been established as details allege that 300 foreigners have been nabbed and are being kicked out of the country. Other foreigners are said to be residing in Syokimau, Buru-Buru and Kasarani.
