The Kenya Meteorological Department has been working hard to provide accessible meteorological information and climatological services to general public in accordance with the World Meteorological Information WMO. The company has enhanced mitigation of adverse impacts of severe weather weather and extreme climatic conditions to aid an integrative planning framework to the citizens as this has aided in the utilization of natural resources for national and regional developments. The company has been able to do this by the development of an efficient telecommunications system for rapid collection and dissemination of meteorological information.
