Sometimes, the accidents are caused by the carelessness of motorists while in other instances, the accidents are caused by brake failure or some mechanical problem in the vehicles.
An incident that shocked many Kenyans on Friday, 3rd December saw a Citi Shuttle Matatu lose control and ram several cars.
The bus is said to have failed it's brakes when it rammed into six vehicles before coming to a wall of a building on the road.
One traffic cop was killed in the accident and his name has been identified as Sergeant Musatafa Lolo who had been deployed to man the Valley Road and Ralph Bunche junction.

The traffic police officer's body was taken to Chiromo Mortuary as the injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Condolences have been pouring in for the family of the officer who lost his life in deadly circumstances.
