Heavy rains is expected over few places in the mentioned parts of the country. According to the report shared by Kenya Meteorological Department through their official social media platforms, the Highlands West of Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and Central and South Rift especially Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, West Pokot, Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori and Narok counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow onwards.
Mornings are expected to be generally to receive sunny intervals though light rains are expected over several places. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur over few places. Nights are expected to be partly cloudy but occasional showers may occur over few places.
Maximum temperatures are expected to drop to about 22 degrees Celsius in Kisii but may rise to 29 degrees Celsius in Kisumu. Minimum temperatures are expected to be as low as 8 degrees Celsius in Kabarak while in Nakuru they may be as high as 15 degrees Celsius.
North Western Kenya especially Turkana and Samburu counties are also expected to receive rains as from tomorrow until Wednesday next week. Therefore members of the public urged to prepare adequately before that time comes. Those expected to be outdoors urged to carry their umbrellas as from tomorrow.
The Highlands East of Rift Valley including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow.
North Eastern parts of the country especially Marsabit, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow. Morning rains and afternoon showers are expected over few places.
The South Eastern Lowlands especially Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita Taveta counties are expected to receive sunny intervals during the morning hours and then afternoon showers are expected over several areas. Finally parts of the Coast especially Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow.
