Another Family Decries Negligence At Nanyuki Hospital

Barely hours after a 58 year old woman died due alleged negligence by Nakuru Teaching and Referral hospital nurses, another family is mourning the death of a 24 year old.

According to her husband Ibrahim Mohammed, the deceased delivered their baby but her bleeding became uncontrollable prompting his relatives to donate blood for Njoki and also buy medicine outside the hospital but nurses said they don't work on holidays.

It wasn't until hours later than Ibrahim and his relatives found out that hospital operations were being executed slowly due to a surprise birthday party being conducted in the Hospital's laboratory.

While speaking earlier today, Laikipia governor Ndiritu Murithi claimed that investigations were underway and the matter will be dealt with in accordance to the law.

Earlier today another family of 58 year old Halima Hassan has also alleged negligence following the death of their mother due to unattended high blood pressure.

According to her daughter sophia hassan, a confrontation ensued between her and the emergency department staff following the long hours of wait as her mother's condition deteriorated.

The family is now pointing accusations on the hospital management for allegedly allowing slower operations and negligence leading to the death of Halima hassan.

Laikipia Governor however urged residents to overlook the good of the hospital and avoid criticising it over a few negative incidents.
