Detectives in Naivasha are pursuing a bodaboda operator who beat his passenger to death after he failed to pay his fare of Ksh70. The victim had left a bar at around 9 pm and had asked the rider to ferry him to his house.
According to a witness who spoke to a local media, John Kimani, the victim had boarded the motorcycle and promised to pay once they reached the destination. However, this did not happen as the deceased failed to remember his Mpesa pin.
Kimani further stated that the suspect left the 32-year-old unconscious after beating him mercilessly, only to be found by his kin on the morning of Monday, November 8.
Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed the incident stating that they were looking for the motorcycle operator who committed the heinous act in the Kayole estate.
“We are still looking for the motorcycle operator who beat his passenger to death in Kayole estate. It’s only a matter of time before we get him,” he said.
